A Victorian round linen tablecloth, topper or centerpiece in nearly perfect condition. Embroidered in Madeira whitework with eyelets, French knots and satin stitch scalloped edge. The design is of dogwood blossoms and tiny eyelet flowers with leaves. The outline of the dogwood is thick fat stitching like Marghab. This is needlework at its best. I found 3 pinpoint faint rust spots and that's it. No signs of wear or holes or stains. I have not attempted to remove the rust spots. The cloth is 36 inches in diameter.
