By Corgi, a Premier Model Manufcturer since 1956, a 1:72nd Scale Diecast replcia of the P-47D 'Thunderbolt' flown in World War Two by Captain Walker 'Bud' Mahurin, the first Double Ace in the United States Army Air Corps in the European Theater. He also carried the distinction of being the only ace to shoot down enemy planes in both the European & Pacific Theaters and the Korean War.
Corgi has carefully recrafted this 1:72nd Scale Diecast replica of his the P-47D "razorback" Thunderbolt , the second he was assigned and the one in which he scored all but three of his victories. It has a spinning propellor, heavy metal construction and on the left side of the fuselage is "Spirit of Atlantic City N.J."
Wingspan is about 7 inches and fuselage measures 6 1/4 inches. Included is a display stand, extra pices to display with landing gear either down or up. Also included is Corgi's certification card marking this replica as number 61 of only 1810 distributed worldwide.
