I'm having so much fun excavating my mum's fab working girl closet from the 70s!!
This deliciously mod/emo (what's emo mean these days anyway?!) blouse has all the requisites of a perfect retro outfit -- it has all the best vintagey, retro shades of candy pink, green, and mustard in a geometric print over a navy blue background with white dots, and I just adore the contrasting pattern on the collar, sleeve hem, and button-down section.
And those buttons! They're original to the blouse and made square to match the print. How cute is that?
Wear it over skinny jeans... pair it with oversized Jackie O shades... update it with a mini and boots ... take it to work with a slim white skirt... you could style this so many ways and pair it with so many colors!
Mummy says she hardly ever wore this blouse because it was so delicate (but boasts that she was hot when it did get worn), so it's in very good vintage condition. There's just one snag to this blouse (ok, three snags) -- as tends to happen with this type of synthetic sheer fabric, it looks "scratched" where individual threads have been displaced. (see last pic).
They're really not noticeable unless you check the garment carefully, especially because the print is so busy, but because of them I am selling this blouse "as-is" with the imperfections declared.
