Holland-Dutch type scenes enjoyed a period of popularity in the early part of the 20th century. These cabinet pieces or creamers if one preferred to utilize them were charming decorative soft-paste pieces. Hand decorated and no two exactly alike, they represented an era all their own. The dog and the dutch girl are particularly well done on this sweet pitcher which measures 3.4 inches tall and about 4 inches wide including the handle. There is a non-separated chip 3/10" at the left side of the spout which is discoloured on the outside and and the same size and variety on the side of the handle.
