Corn pattern has always been very collectible in the majolica form of decoration. This lovely little demitasse cup and saucer were likely made about 1940 and are vividly decorated in the "tin glaze" style. Although there is no label, you will notice the impressed C473 on the reverse of the saucer and the number 27 painted on the base of the cup along with G473 impressed on the cup. The cup is 2-5/16" tall; the saucer is 4-3/4" wide. This is porcelain, not soft-past. ... [full description] |
