***** Well, here it is, a great rare find! A lot of Star Wars watch collectors might not know this version exists. This is the rare all black 1977 Texas Instruments watch. What makes this one so different, other than being black, is it has the Vader with flying ships with colored exhaust above him. The other TI watches have Star Wars in that area. Please continue to read on. The watch face and band are in really nice condition on this one. Problem is the back, someone cracked the O ring I guess you'd call it and it doesn't seal completely, but you can make it still connect to the back of the watch in an area as you can see by the pictures. I could put it on my wrist easily without it falling off. If you have one of these in worse condition with a good battery cover backing, you can just change it out. Finding one of these in perfect condition is very very difficult. I have one of these watches loose with a perfect back and will consider offers on that one, but I'm offering this one at a discounted price because of the back. There is also a round fanned out looking piece that was in the battery compartment, it's probably to ground the batteries/provide a tighter fit to the back of the watch that I forgot to show in the pictures, it will come with too.
The watch face has scratches but no damage to it and it still looks very nice. It also originally came with 10 stickers, they have all fallen off the wax paper, and 8 of them are there, missing two. The paperwork and a display box is also included to display the watch. I do not have any batteries to test the watch so it is being sold as a collectible only, but as the battery compartment is clean, it should work.
These old TI watches are great in that the clock doesn't stay on the screen the whole time, only comes on when you press the time button. The same thing for seconds and I believe it can show the date as well. A wonderful collectible from TI and Star Wars, don't miss out!
