One of my favourite pieces of work, where all the elements within the scene and digital enhancements came together to create this luxuriously toned image which is bathed in deep rich orange hues, an instant warmth and feeling of peace is receieved from the finished scene. The photograph was taken at twilight in almost complete darkness, the last rays of light in the sky and on the sea foam, and a slow camera exposure nicely blurred the incoming waves and created the misty effect.
The cliffs in the distance are the north end of Marsden Bay, South Shield, in the North East of England, situated a couple of miles south of the River Tyne, which once crossed, geographically is the beginning of the Northumberland Coastline.
This piece of artwork would make a stunning centerpiece above a fireplace, complimenting a roaring fire! ... [full description] |
