This photograph was taken not long after the “Storm Coming” image, a quick downpour of rain, as those angry clouds started to pass, the sun started to shine through, the air had a quality I’ve never known during this time, there was such sharpness to everything around, I carried on looking for interesting scenes before the moment was lost. The large boulders in the foreground and the rockpools in the mid sections of the image was lit up with glorious colour’s from the sky, which that same peachy colour continued out to sea to the horizon, blues and purple tones from the sky too were reflected throughout the scene. This was one of the most special natural occurrences I’ve been lucky enough to have witnessed , such a beautiful moment from Mother Nature.
Marsden Bay, South Shields, in the North East of England, to the right of this image, you’d be looking south, approximately a mile away you’ll find Souter Lighthouse and the Whitburn coast. ... [full description] |
