Therefore, what caught our eye - A worthy message, simply put, with wonderful illustrations to accompany the story. About the Author Laura Vaughan was born and raised in the Boston area. She attended Boston University where she received a B.A. in Political Science. While attending Boston University and after graduating, Ms. Vaughan enjoyed traveling. She spent time in the Philippines, Kenya and Europe. She also worked in an orphanage in Guatemala. It was while working in the orphanage that Ms. Vaughan decided to become a teacher. She attended UMass Boston graduate school of education. Since graduating, she has been teaching high school students in the Boston Public School system. Ms. Vaughan has always enjoyed writing and has written for Adventure Magazine and the Winchester Daily Chronicle. Throughout her life she has always painted and drawn.
