This natural wood sculpture is a bird standing on a wooden base. The body of the bird is a natural knot in the wood and has a hole about where the heart would be. Other spots on the wood form the eye and beak.
Some of the wood is light like maple and other places it is darker. I do not know what kind of wood this is nor how much work has been done to the natural shape. It is 9.5 inches tall and 11 inches on the diagonal beak to tail. It is polished and looks nice on a shelf. The tip of the beak is broken off but that is only noticable very close up. It could be sanded back to a true point if desired.
