The bell swings and rings. The base sharpens your pencils. It uses no electricity or batteries and takes up a miniscule amount of desk space. It reminds us that at one time our government believed in liberty.
This Liberty bell pencil sharpener is exact down to the crack and clapper and is marked with the maker of the original Pass and Stow Philand(A) MDCCLIII. On the base is written 1753.
This is a very solid sturdy piece. I'm not sure if it is copper or copper finished.
