This tank has somehow survived and still sits in its custom built supports in a mechanical room amidst new technology. I am told that the tank was used for hot water to feed a administrative building in and around a industrial complex just north of Boston some 80 years ago.
I have been told that hand forged tanks of this size are rare. The tank was assembled in three pieces. You can see all the bolts needed to fastened the end caps.
This would make a great display piece in a mechanical building that has a lot glass for display. Not sure if this piece could be incorporated for reuse in a micro brewery..... would look nice in that setting!
Tank measures 11' 8" long x 38" high
