Contents: This booklet is a report by A.E. Porsild, an experienced botanist, on the available reindeer pasture and carrying capacity and other general conditions of importance to a future reindeer industry in Canada. The investigation occupied from May 1926 to November 1928.
This study was undertaken as a way to help the native Eskimo become once-again self-sufficient as had been done in Alaska forty years earlier with the introduction of domestic reindeer from Siberia. Illustrated with photographs.
