The "Oscar" plug horse was originally made by the Heisey Glass Company in 1941-46. After Heisey closed it's doors, the mold for Oscar or Sparky as he is sometimes called was purchased by the Heisey Collectors of America. They had various glass companies pour "Oscar" for use as a fundraising device for their glass collectors club and he became the unofficial "mascot" of the Heisey Collectors of America or HCA. Oscar was produced in various colors and amounts from 1977 through 1995 and he is no longer being produced. Each Oscar plug horse measures approximately 4" tall by 4" wide by 1.5" deep.
