2.5 Acres Way Out There on East End Road, Lucerne Valley
I hope that you, or someone you know, might have some interest in owning this 2.5 acre (108,900 square feet) secluded land parcel. It is located a mile and a half east of Peffer Lane, where the wind helps the tumbling tumbleweeds tumble, when there are any tumbleweeds. My Bing maps and my title company show that this 330' by 330' piece of heaven on earth is only a quarter mile east of Pot Belly Place (presumably named after the animal instead of the herb but who really knows?). On the other hand, neither Google Maps nor the Thomas Guide show Pot Belly Place. Is it really there? What difference does it make? (Sorry, no politics allowed here!!)
This is truly a relatively remote part of Lucerne Valley, to the east of town. There is one neighbor on the north side of East End Road, and that's about it. Your view is to the horizon in all directions. To the east and to the south, for half a mile or more, the other parcels are mostly government owned. Not much chance they are going to be developed any time soon. How big is one acre? The "action" part of a football field is about one acre. (Makes a person appreciate all the more how much land you get with a 2.5-acre parcel!)
Get to the property via East End Road to Peffer Road. Continue east exactly 1.5 miles to the property. Cross the dirt road, the property is on your right. I would tell you that the name of the dirt road is "Santa Fe", but there are half a dozen dirt roads with the same name, it DOES make a difference which one you stop at, so use "1.5 miles east of Peffer Road" as your primary directional tool. Although if you want, write me and I will give you the GPS coordinates of the four corners of the property. The Zip Code is 92356, and the Thomas Map is 4482 / 4483 C1.
Here are the GPS coordinates of of the northwest corner of the property, where East End Road meets one of the Santa Fe roads. Put them into your favorite mapping system and take a look for yourself. Now you can zoom in to count the bunnies, or zoom out to scope the neighborhood:
