I hope you, or someone you know, would like to own one or more of these lots in the Landers area. The first three of these lots have 107 feet of frontage on Mass Ave, and 330 of depth (about one football field!). Each is 35,310 square feet, or 0.81, acre in size. The fourth has 138 feet of frontage, and is 45,540 square feet, or 1.05 acre, in size. The addresses of the other neighbors are shown on the enclosed map.
Behind these lots are four government-owned parcels of 5 acres each. It is quite likely that none of them will be developed for, say, the next 50 years. So even though these parcels are of ample size, there is pretty much always going to be a lot of open space behind them anyhow.
Getting there is easy. Take 29 Highway 247 (Old Woman Springs Road) about 13 miles, give or take, north from Yucca Valley. Slow down when you pass Applegate Way, the next street on your right is Mass Ave. Turn right on Mass Ave. The first house on your left is 55460. The second house on your left is 55500. Stop the car. The four lots are on your left, they stop just before the next house, 55664. If you want to step off the frontage of the first three lots, each one is about 42 steps wide. Note that the fence for 55500 is partially on the first lot. Also note there is a small wash once you get to the third lot. The fourth lot is wider, about 55 steps.
These properties would be served electric power from the utility poles right there on Mass Ave. They are also located within the Bighorn Water District service territory. If you owned all four it would be like owning four adjacent football fields. The Zip Code is 92285, and the Thomas Guide is 4667 D7.
Here are the GPS coordinates of roughly the center of the first property. Put them into your favorite mapping system and take a look for yourself. Now you can zoom in to count the bunnies, or zoom out to scope the neighborhood.
