Two Round Painted Metal Trays by Rodney Peppe for Crown Merton Squirrel and Lion 1970s Pop Art
Here is a pair of round painted metal trays designed by automata artist Rodney Peppe for Crown Merton. If you are not familiar with Rodney Peppe's work, look closely. These animals are more complex than they might seem. Don't take his animals lightly just because they are cute!
I have read that Rodney Peppe does not sell his automata, but he has written a few books that scratch the itch of my little origamists here at home. If you are looking for artwork by Peppe that you don't have to make yourself, these trays are just the ticket.
The trays are in nice shape for their age, with a few scratches.
Each tray is about 11.5 inches in diameter, and about 1.25 inches tall.
I am glad to combine shipping whenever possible. Packed carefully for shipping, these trays weigh just over two pounds. If the shipping cost looks off to you, please let me know and I will check to see if I can get you a better deal based on your location/zip code.
Please send me any questions you may have, and thanks for looking.
