Galanthus Nivalis, also known as Snowdrops or Schneeglöckchen, have single, 1“ white pendulous blooms with green centers. They bloom very early, sometimes popping up through the snow. Snowdrops occur throughout Europe, from the Pyrenees eastward to the Ukraine, and from Germany and Poland southwards to southern Italy, Albania and northern Greece where it is protected. Seeds are seldom available.
Snowdrops prefer moist fertile soil and partial shade. Cold climate garden, Zone 3-6.
