Vintage Federal Practical Housewares clear glass syrup or creamer in a ribbed column pattern. The cover is a hinged metal cap that flips up when you press on the back tab. The ring fits around the neck of the syrup jar about half way. The lid is a little tarnish, but in good condition. The bottom of the container is marked: 5F Federal Practical Housewares Chicago 45.
There are stress lines along the outside of the bottom - see picture. I'm guessing that this is from the 1940s or 1950s. Suggest that you do not add hot liquids to this syrup or creamer.
The syrup pitcher stands about 5 inches tall. There is no roughness around the top opening.
