Set of 2 vintage cream soup bowls with saucer from Seyei Toki Co., Ltd of Japan. The Seyei Toki Co. was in operation from before WWII and stopped exporting their products in the 1970s. The 2 handled soup bowl is white porcelain with a green design around the edge and a floral design of pink, bue and yellow orange flowers with green leaves. There is gold trim in the center of each handle and edges of the bowl and saucers. The edges of the bowl and saucer are also scalloped. The saucer measures 6 1/4 inch diameter and the cream soup bowl is 4 1/2 inch diameter. The bowl and saucer set stands 2 1/2 inches high.
The bottoms of both the vintage bowls and saucers are marked in red in an encircled sun with MADE IN JAPAN. There are no cracks, chips or flakes. No crazing. A couple of dark pin marks - see pictures. This set of cream soup bowls are in very nice condition.
My information on identification of the maker was obtained from Collector's Guide To Made in Japan Ceramics Book II by Carole Bess White.
