Own something real. Own land!
This property is not for everyone. But it might be for you, if you don't mind the lack of road access.
Now you can own 2.5 acres (108,900 square feet) of land affordably. This is flat, clean acreage, out in the middle of nowhere, that will take care of itself for your future. This area is well to the east of Lucerne Valley, and well to the north and west of Landers, south of Old Woman Springs Road (Highway 247). Zero down is OK. This land is part of the orderly liquidation of our family land trust.
Get there by heading south of Hwy 247 on Pony Road (see the map) directly to Joshua Tree Road. It's less than a mile, you will pass (on your left) Datura Terrace, Firethorn Way, and Saddle Rock Road. The first road thereafter on your right is Joshua Tree Road. Now turn right on Joshua Tree Road. This is a narrow dirt road traveled mostly by lizards and bunnies. Watch out for them.
Continue northwest on Joshua Tree Road not quite 0.4 miles. You will find a dirt road leading south into the middle of nowhere. This is Walker Road, such as it is, a dirt bike would be better than a car here but you are in your car. Don't get stuck. Turn left (south) on Walker Road.
Continue south on Walker Road about 990 feet or 0.2 mile. Don't worry about how many feet and inches that might be, because when Walker Road stops, so will you. The faintest of dirt trails leads off to the east (turn left if you are feeling adventurous, because after about 150 feet (about 60 steps) you will find the nearest - probably the only - neighbor's house). But if you decide to stop when Walker Road stops, this property is 990 feet (about 396 steps) straight ahead of you, right out there in the middle of the most secluded place you've ever seen (except, of course, the neighbor back there on the dirt road leading east.) Have a nice walk, and don't step on any turtles, they are protected.
Many parcels out here are government-owned, and are marked on the first map. It would be a reasonable assumption that these are unlikely to be developed for decades, if ever. Please note that government-owned land surrounds the parcel on three sides, almost a virtual guarantee of privacy for the foreseeable future.
Assessor Parcel Number: 0447-401-06
Legal Description:

Here are the GPS coordinates of roughly the center of the property. Use your favorite mapping system and take a look for yourself. You can zoom in to count the bunnies, or zoom out to scope the neighborhood.
