Made from Electro Plate Britannia Metal, the pot was made in England. Marked as "Made in England" dates the piece to post 1900.
The teapot has a piece number of 5700, which would have been used as an identification number when originally ordered.
There is also "school" hand etched on the base, which probably indicates that this tea pot was used in a school. It is however, classic serving ware such as you'd find in a hotel or cafe.
The tea pot is in lovely vintage condition. There are some minor signs of aging as you'd expect from and antique item. The markings and decoration are clear and defined. The lid and hinge are firm and fit well. The handle is firm and the aeration holes on the handle are clear and unobstructed. Inside has some discoloration. We have cleaned the piece gently but not scrubbed or polished it. We'll leave that to the buyer!
It stands at 7" (18cm) tall and approx 4" (10cm) in diameter.
