Made in England by H.J. Wood Ltd, of Stoke-on Trent.
Wonderful handmade jug in contrasting brown and pink. The handle is of a textured "rope" style design.
The jug is banded by ornate yellow/ gold colored decoration, and embellished with embossed blue and white dots to give a textured finish.
The pot is in beautiful condition with no cracks or chips. There is some fading of the golden bands, which you'd expect from such an old pitcher. It stands at 7" (18cm) tall and is approx. 4.25" (11cm) in diameter at the base.
It is marked on the base with a makers mark which identifies that it was made between 1891 and mid 1920s.
A fine piece of antique English pottery in excellent condition!
