These are a hand painted ceramic boy and girl made in the Berta Hummel style. She carries a basket and a flower and he holds a toy horse. They are marked, ''Made in Occupied Japan''. The Occupied Japan period runs from 1945 to 1952; made in Japan items from this period are very collectible. Condition: there is a 5mm long glaze flake on his sleeve (not a chip in the ceramic). This condition is reflected in the price. Otherwise, these two are in excellent shape! Height: 4 1/8 (10.5 cm) and 4 1/4 inches (10.8 cm). (#57535-Y+)
