Classic porcelain Marutomoware, made in Japan.
A pretty, and unusual matchbox holder, with striker on the rear, in the shape of a young girl, standing under and arch. Around the base are foliage and grass.
The item is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, and the colors are good and strong.
It is small, measuring 2.75" (7cm) tall and 2" (5cm) deep. It is fully marked on the base.
A lovely collectible, or a great gift!
