P.G. Wodehouse The Inimitable Jeeves is for sale. This edition appears to be the 1926 edition according to “P.G. Wodehouse A Comprehensive Bibliography” by Eileen McIlvaine who states: “3. Reissued: [July 1926]. 255pp. 2s6d. 5x7½”. P.: 11 titles ending Leave it to PSmith (A31), otherwise same as first. English Catalogue called Cheap Edition.” This book conforms to the 1926 edition and has the original green cloth with illustration to the front board, black lettering to the front board and spine, and the Herbert Jenkins logo to the back board.
The original binding is in Good condition with discolouration to the front board, back board, and slight to the spine, and with very slight knocks to the top and bottom of the spine.
There are 255 numbered pages with the pages in overall Very Good condition being clean with only light age toning and the occasional marks consistent with a book of this age.
This is a very rare and collectable early P.G. Wodehouse title that would grace any P.G. Wodehouse book collection.
