A spectacular pair of Choisy-le-roi French majolica vases. Hand painted bases with applied poppy flowers in yellow and pink with green leaves. A wonderful pair
that brightens any room. Both have the early Royal Worcester and Choisy-le-Roi marks. The Choisy-le-Roi faience factory of Choisy-le-Roi, France produced majolica from 1860 to 1910. The factory’s work was some of the most delicate produced in France. They made the finest majolica in France and received acclaim at the Paris Exhibition of 1878 and other international exhibitions. Both vases are in excellent condition with four small, petal chips, two on one and two on the other.
They will be packed with the custom fitting “Instapak” foam, which is more expensive than the usual packing peanuts, but it will form fit the vases.
