We believe this to be an early work of Frederick Prescott, born 1949, known for his kinetic, brutalist sculpture. This is a gristmill structure and the wheel turns. It is signed Prescott ’73. Made of copper with a bronze tree and figure of a man on a granite base. Signed on the granite. In excellent condition with wear and patina consistent with age and use but no serious damage or repairs. We have taken it off the base so we can wrap the base separately since it is very heavy
and the sculpture is lighter in weight. It can easily be
glued back with Gorilla or other glue.
