This Art Nouveau biscuit jar is a lovely iridescent green with a touch of yellow and rose. On the surface is an applied amethyst threading which has been impressed into the base color. The jar has a silver plated collar, lid and bail. This beauty's shape is six-sided with a round rim. Height to top of bail: 7 inches (17.78 cm); diameter: 4¾ inches (12.065 cm). Condition: There is a tight interior crack measuring ¾” long (see close-up picture, center). On the base there is a falsified Loetz signature, but since I purchased the jar, it has been attributed to Pallme-Konig of Austria, a contemporary of Loetz. The condition described is reflected in the price. Circa 1900-1914. (#2525-TE)
