Contents: José Julián Martí Pérez (January 28, 1853 - May 19, 1895) was a Cuban poet, philosopher, essayist, journalist, translator, professor, and publisher, who is considered a Cuban national hero because of his role in the liberation of his country, and he was an important figure in Latin American literature.
Though, according to the author's preface, this work is not intended as a complete biography it does cover much of Marti's works and travels through Spain, Latin America, and the United States. Illustrated with drawings and photographs. Text is in Spanish.
