Love in a mist is best grown with very good exposure to the sun, and it is best to plant in either south-facing or west-facing sites. The soil needs to be well-drained too. If you are sowing the seed directly into garden soil, you will need a relatively fine consistency.
Keep It Alive
Love-in-a-mist is a prolific re-seeder.
In the spring, sow your seeds about 1/8-inch deep in a spot that gets full to part sun and keep the soil moist until sprouts appear in from two to three weeks.
Few pests or problems afflict this annual.
Many take several weeks, months, and some even up towards a year depending on dormancy, region, season etc. It is important that the buyer understands that seeds are perishable products and seed germination can be adversely affected by such factors as mold/fungus, bugs, temperature, moisture content, light intensity, dormancy, care, contamination of planting media among many other reasons
