A handmade ballpoint pen turned from Red Mallee Burl.
Red Mallee burl is a native Australian timber with incredible mix of colors of pink, red, and violet heartwood with contrasting white sapwood and figure.
A burl is a tree growth in which the grain has grown in a deformed manner.
It is commonly found in the form of a rounded outgrowth on a tree trunk or branch that is filled with small knots from dormant buds.
This pen comes with a pre-installed Parker style ballpoint refill.
