Description: Hardcover with dust jacket. Two text volumes and one "book" containing three cassette tapes. Volume 1 467 pages. Volume 2 276 pages.
Condition: All three volumes show some light cover wear and rubbing at the edges. I assume the cassette tapes have been played. Physically they look fine though I have not played them.
Dust Jacket: All the dust jackets show various wear most notably chipping, creasing, and some small tears along the top and bottom edges. All have been placed in mylar covers to prevent further damage.
Contents: A comprehensive cultural-musical investigation of jazz in Denmark in the twenties, thirties, and forties. The text is derived from the author's dissertation done at the University of Copenhagen, 1981. Covers history, acceptance, artists and accomplishments, dissemination, and style. Frequent references to recordings.
