Uncle Wiggily and the Snow Plow, Uncle Wiggily and the Apple Dumpling, two classics by Howard Garis. Original 1939 booklets, by Platt & Munk Co. In the 1930's, children everywhere knew and loved the Uncle Wiggily stories, which were broadcast on the radio. The Uncle Wiggily stories were gathered into books, and some, like these, were printed separately. In one, Uncle Wiggily turns his car into a snowplow to rescue the snowbound animal inhabitants of the town, and in the other story Uncle Wiggily is on his way to take an apple dumpling to his friend but ends up giving it to a hungry squirrel family instead. Condition: Small cover creases from normal handling, tiny corner blunts. Back covers of both books have areas of what appear to be pink stains caused by colored water, some dirt smudges, and small pencil squiggles. Interior pages are clean, bright, and in very good condition.
