The seeds will germinate over a pe- riod of several months, but can take as long as 18 months! Cephalotus seed germinated best on bed of finely chopped LIVE sphagnum moss.

The tried and true way of germinating Sarracenia seed is to cold stratify the seed for 4 weeks (5 weeks for Sarracenia purpurea subsp. purpurea). Storing the seed dry in the refrigerator isn't stratification.
