CONDITION: Pencil is in excellent condition for its age. Has some very fine scratches, and inscribed manufacturer name and gold content are still crisp and clear. Lead retractor end has been gently turned, and the lead tip moved, but the mechanism feels a bit stiff and was not forced beyond the point of gentle resistance. Case is in excellent condition, with a tight and fully functional hinge, and all lining intact. Inside top of case has the initial "M" written in pencil. End clip on the black ribbon has minor age-related corrosion.
