The word "naiad" comes to us from classical mythology and refers to "any of a class of nymphs presiding over rivers and springs." That was the inspiration for Trifari's 1958 "Naiad" line of jewelry. The lovely teardrop shaped cabochons look like pearls from a flowing river. Each bracelet link features two slanted cabochons, while each earring features three. The slightly iridescent glow of the finish is mesmerizing. Although cabochons of this shape and size are used in other Trifari jewelry, only the Naiad line features this beautiful and prized satiny pearlescent finish. The set is in excellent vintage condition, as shown in the photos. There is only slight wear on the backs of the earrings. It's a simply stunning set that is sure to be noticed each time it is worn. Great for a cruise, as it will work with many outfits. Perfect for dinner, the theatre, or any special occasion. Wear this set and step into glamour!
