This very elegant pin is made out of solid 18-carat yellow gold. It is not gold plated nor filled. It features 4 beautiful garnets of different sizes and shapes. The round-shape center gem is a beautiful deep red tourmaline, two tear-shape at each end and two oval-shaped ones in between make up this very nice pin. They are set in a gypsy-type (bezel) setting in a manner that suggests artisan made fine jewelery.
They come from an estate and are stamped with the owl stamp, a guarantee of its solid 18-carat gold content and its authenticity
Closure is with the typical "C" clasp.
We date this beautiful pin to the end of the nineteenth century.
With just a few dents on the setting of the gems, and a slight chip off one of the gem (only visible with a x10 loupe), it is considered in very good condition.
