Lot of two vintage tourist guides of Athens Greece. The first is titled "The Acropolis of Athens" - A Short Guide published by the Custodians of the Acropolis, 1945. It is in good condition with a stain on the front cover and a small dog ear on the back cover. The binding is a little too tight - you need to kind of pull it open to see the whole page. This looks like it came from production - it is not from age. The back of this booklet contains a fold out map of the Acropoliswhich is in great condition. 25 pages. The next guide is "A Concise Guide of Athens" it is in good condition with some fraying, creases and small tears on the front cover. The back cover looks like it has some water damage. Inside is in great shape with a little bit of toning and a few slightly creased pages. It covers Athens' topography, climate, history, basic information for the tourist, and some information about surrounding areas. It also has a fold out map at the back of the booklet of important buildings and monumentswhich is in excellent condition. I can find no dates on this book but it is probablypost WWII since there are references to places with names like "Roosevelt" and "Churchill". 47 pages.
