Jacket has moderate edgewear and a few small tears/chips, light scuffing & scratching to covers, some age tanning to paper. Not clipped.
With a complete translation of his inaugural dissertation 'De Alimentorum Concoctione' and interpretive notes on Gastric Digestion along with certain other selected and diplomatic papers. Stevens is a contemporary of Alexander Hamilton, Benjamin Rush, Thomas Jefferson, et al, and is credited with the first isolation of human gastric juice.
