Lavish lace edged handmade ivory linen hanky threadwork wedding fancy ll3127

Another old, probably antique, hanky looking for a new home. This one is made of ivory linen with lavish hand crocheted lace border. The lace is worked onto the hemmed hanky with a blanket stitch.

The hanky is 9 inches not including the lace that is about 3/4 inch additional all round. Ideal for weddings to to tuck into your evening bag.

Condition is without holes or wear spots but this is definitely old and used. ***The photo of the whole hanky shows what looks like a grease spot. It was really difficult to find except by the camera. The linen has that special softness you find in old linen.
