PARROT NOVELTY CIGAR CUTTER

This very unusual cigar cutter, is one I've never come across before, and believe me when I tell you, I've seen and owned a few unusual one's in the past.
The head and beak are in brass while the rest of the body is solid tin plate and
coloured black. The parrot may have been on a stand in the past, which is not there now, but the piece was so appealing I had to own it for awhile, with or without a base.
To operate the cigar cutting movement the crest at the back of the head is depressed which brings the spring loaded lower beak upwards, slotting into the upper beak, and cutting the end off the cigar in the process.
