A pin dish or tip tray from Nova Scotia Canada. The dish is made by Sandland of Hanley Staffordshire in England. The raised design shows a map of Nova Scotia in the center with the provincial coat of arms in the upper corner and a Highland dancer in the lower corner. The dish is gold rimmed.
The dish is 4 x 6 inches and stands about 1 inch high.
The condition is excellent vintage. It has considerable crazing but this is only testimony to its age. It is not discolored. No chips or cracks. On the back there are two glaze miss spots where the firing pins were. You can feel them but not see them.
This is a very professional looking souvenir so if you are proud of your Nova Scotian roots this is a good looking piece to keep on your desk to display your business cards.
