Contents: “Pilot’s Weather Handbook” was written as a joint project of the U. S. Weather Bureau’s Training Section and Domestic Aviation Section. The actual writing was done by J. T. Lee, Meteorologist and Training Specialist, and Carl M. Reber, Meteorologist and Commercial Pilot. Many others also contributed their expertise.
This completely revised edition gives the pilot the authoritative source of information needed to prepare for the CAA pilot qualifications examinations and, more important, to help the pilot cope safely with the weather problems he encounters.
Includes information on basic concepts, temperature, pressure, moisture, air stability, clouds, winds, air masses, frontal weather, thunderstorms, icing and turbulence, fog and stratus clouds, weather observations and instruments, weather charts, pilot's weather information, flight planning and weather, flying weather in the U.S., Sailplane weather as well as a Meteorological Glossary.
Many illustrations, figures and photos throughout.

Overall Condition: Cover is an oilcloth material which shows only minor wear and has had a sticker removed as you can see in the picture. The Title Page has some notes penciled in at the top but otherwise the remaining pages are unmarked, clean and clear. Overall this item shows only minimal signs of age and use.
