Description

This is one of several pieces from an estate in another state. The woman had traveled extensively and collected a lot!
This pair of earrings is quite a departure in style from one of my favorite designers! Art designed a lot of pieces with a wonderful lush old-fashioned look...but this certainly shows that he had a fun side as well!
They're done in textured gold toned metal brushed in a great indigo blue. The neat oblique diamond shapes are sparked with..well..motifs of circles, triangles, and squares that add another color. It looks as if the surface was "wiped" to expose the gold metal for additional interest. The tiny diamond shape on top catches its larger counterpart so that it swings freely....love the cut out circle!
They measure 3" top to bottom and about 2-1/8" across the widest point. They're in excellent vintage condition.
