Kochia scoparia, also known as burningbush, ragweed, summer cypress, fireball, and Mexican fireweed, is a shrub that produces edible seeds. In Japan, the seeds are known as tonburi and are considered a delicacy. It has a texture similar to caviar, and is sometimes called "land caviar"

These seeds should be soaked in water for 24 hours before planting in seedling trays. The seedlings will germinate at room temperature and should be moved when big enough to handle.
