Tiffany Table Lamp Stain Glass Dragonfly Design MINT BEAUTY!
Stunning design and a lovely soft glow emits from this beautiful original Dale Tiffany table lamp. 2 light settings. Very detailed bronze dragonfly sit atop. Bronze base in the shape of lily pad leaves (I believe they're lily pad leaves - please see photo close up). Mint condition! This extraordinary table lamp has been sat on a shelf for about 6 months now. I'm moving and into a much smaller place... this is a heart-break piece to let go, but I'm hoping it finds an appreciative of it's beauty home.
Approx. 15-16" tall.
About a century ago, Louis Comfort Tiffany (1843-1933) created a colorful shade for the new light source invented earlier by his friend, Thomas Edison. Tiffany developed and patented an 'opalescent glass' for his shades which beautifully turned the reflective rays into art. Two decades ago, Dale followed his tradition and began to reproduce stained glass lamps using the same copper foil technique as the original.
