Vintage art nouveau heavy bronzed spelter metal 19thC ... Nike Goddess woman in chariot ( charioteer ) holding a laurel wreath. Finely detailed right down to the little hoof prints in the clouds and a very nice patina. Reins have been replaced. Detachable wreath cane. Stunning, beautiful lady in a flowing robe riding a chariot with a daisy on the front and two rearing horses. Very ornate and in high relief. There are lion skin pelts on the backs of the horses and an eagle head on the end of the staff running between the horses. The bottom has a black enameled steel plate. There is a lot of wear and scratching to the bottom steel plate but overall condition for its age is good. Rare find!
Measures 11 inches x 12 & 1/4 inches x 5 inches wide.
The only foundry makers mark I find is on the lower right hand side of the metal base which looks like a little daisy stem flower in raised relief. possible Mednat which would make it french
