A beautiful new top quality hand printed Long Sleeve art shirt featuring THE SCREAM by Edvard Munch
The Scream is Edvard Munch's best-known painting and is one of the pieces in a series titled The Frieze of Life, in which Munch explored the themes of life, love, fear, death, and melancholy. As with many of his works, he painted several versions of it.
One version of The Scream was stolen in 1994, another in 2004. Both have since been recovered, but one version sustained damage during the theft which is too extensive to repair completely.
Some art historians believe that the red sky in the background of The Scream reflects the unusually intense sunsets seen throughout the world following the 1883 eruption of the Indonesian volcano Krakatoa. (I think it's a reflection of his agoraphobia- he was terrified of open spaces!)
Our art shirts are hand printed using non-toxic "watercolor technique" dyes on a wax press. High quality rich and durable screen prints on a top quality cotton-polyester blend Long Sleeve shirt.
Shipped brand new in poly bag. This shirt will not shrink. We recommend hand wash or machine wash gentle to preserve the colors.
This beautiful new shirt is men's size EXTRA LARGE- Please check measurements to insure a proper fit:
Extra Large measures about ~23" across the chest from armpit to armpit and ~31" long. (~46" chest) The sleeves measure about ~28" long from shoulder seam to cuff.
