The doll is in very good condition, has an antique blond mohair wig and antique clothing. This doll comes from the original owner who inherited it from her grandmother who immigrated from Germany to the United States.The doll has brown glass sleep eyes, open crown head, dimpled chin, multi stroke eyebrows, inner red eye dots, delicate black painted upper and lower eye lashes, nostril dots, nice cheek blush, and the head does not have any cracks or chips. The doll is marked at back of head with:MADE IN GERMANY / ARMAND MARSEILLE / 390 / A5M. The body is in good condition with nice original finish. The hands have had some finger repair and have been repainted. The right leg calf has a hairline crack in paint surface that goes down into foot. Body has old red stamp mark on back of upper torso. She is wearing an antique white cotton dress with a gorgeous antique white flannel cape with hood. Underneath her dress she is wearing an antique cotton full slip which is a little too big for her and is pinned to fit (you can't see it because it is under her dress). Her dress is missing its buttons and was pinned shut in the back. Her cape hides this. On her head she is wearing a handcrafted bonnet with feathers. It is beautiful. She is wearing her original white oilcloth shoes with buckles. Her socks are vintage rayon material. Her clothes have age related stains and wear associated with age, but look lovely nonetheless.This is a very precious doll that is display ready. She is a very delightful and needs a loving new home.
